Calculators

MESA CAC Percentile Calculator

Enter your age, sex, race, and CAC score to see your percentile relative to your demographic. A score of 150 at 45 carries different implications than the same score at 62.

MESA CAC Calculator →

HOMA-IR Calculator

Calculate your insulin resistance index from fasting insulin and fasting glucose. Formula: (Insulin in uIU/mL × Glucose in mmol/L) ÷ 22.5. Above 2.0 suggests developing resistance. Above 2.9 is consistent with metabolic syndrome.

10-Year ASCVD Risk Calculator (ACC/AHA)

The Pooled Cohort Equations calculator. Enter your age, sex, race, blood pressure, cholesterol, and risk factor status to estimate your 10-year cardiovascular event probability. Useful as a starting point. Does not include ApoB, Lp(a), CAC, or insulin resistance.

Lab Order Scripts

What to say to your physician to get the tests this platform covers. These are clinical requests with evidence grounding, not demands.

The minimum-value ask

"Can we add ApoB and fasting insulin to my lab order? ApoB is more accurate than LDL for particle burden, and fasting insulin catches insulin resistance before glucose changes. Both are inexpensive and do not require extra preparation."

The once-in-a-lifetime ask

"I don't believe my Lp(a) has ever been measured. Current ESC guidelines recommend measuring it at least once in every adult's lifetime. Can we add it?" Lp(a) is genetically determined, stable, and needs to be measured once.

The CAC conversation opener

"I am between 40 and 60 with [relevant risk factors]. I would like to discuss whether a coronary artery calcium scan is appropriate for my risk profile. I understand it is $100-150 out of pocket and takes about 12 minutes."

The full preventive panel ask

"I would like a comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment. Specifically: ApoB, fasting insulin, Lp(a), free testosterone and SHBG, hsCRP, and a discussion about CAC scoring. I am prepared for the conversation about what any elevated results mean."

Verify My Credentials

Every clinical claim on this platform carries an evidence rating. The credential behind those ratings is public and verifiable.

The first clinical step takes five minutes.
